Cold asphalt mixture CANADER - mix is a mixture of crushed aggregate of a hich quality and standard grading curve and binder CANADER - adit. The mixture is delivered packed free, in PE bags of 25 kg separately or on EUR pallets with 40 pcs of the overall weight of 1 ton.

Usage and effectiveness

CANADER- mix enables low-cost adjustments of knockouts and small repairs of communication surface in unfavourable weather conditions such as rain, snow, frost in the temperature down to - 10 ^oC. The mixture can be applied throughout the whole year at the execution of small range works, mainly in longer distances - repairs after excavations of engineering network, height adjustments of road garnitures, entrances and garden paths.

• Free placed mixture can be stored up to 18 months, packed in bags up to 24 months.
• Traffic can start running on the repaired place immediately after accomplishment of repairs
• Lower number of workers is needed when the repairs are performed

Length of life

Works performed by the application of mixture CANADER - mix show minimally the same life as the application of hot asphalt coated mixtures 70/100 in the optimum conditions.

Ecology

The mixture CANADER - mix underwent standard tests in Accredited Laboratory ČVUT, Faculty of Civil Engineering, department of road constructions. The tests indicated that the mixture does not have any negative effect on the quality of water nor on the other parts of environment.

Principles of mixture application:

• We recommend to leave the mixture for cca 8-12 hours before use in tempered environment to ensure better treatability of the mixture at low temperatures
• It is not necessary to adjust the place to be repaired by cutting, edge undercutting, even the connecting spray is not required
• It is necessary to remove remainig parts of the ruined surface from the place to be repaired, clean it properly from mechanical dirt, compresssed air is the best solution
• It is required to lay out the mixture in the thickness between 20 mm and 50 mm with cumulation over the surrounding terrain in 20 - 30 mm. Subsequently the mixture must be properly compacted by the vibrating panel or roller. In case of deeper knockout repairs it is necessary to lay the mixture layer by layer with the maximal thickness of 50 mm and after compact properly each layer separately.
• Use mixture CANADER - mixL (summer) produced freely when the repairs of road surface are executed in the temperatures from + 5°C to +40°C. Stabilization is faster after application of this mixture under the given temperature conditions.
